University/College Application Information
Applications to OSAP may be done AT THE SAME time as applications to College or University. Students will receive their offers of admission with a Net Tuition amount that may differ depending on scholarships offered, living costs etc. You MUST have a Social Insurance Number (SIN) in order to apply for OSAP. Both university and college applications will link to OSAP and pre-fill a great deal of information for you. To visit the OSAP site, click here.
UNIVERSITY APPLICATIONS:
All applications will be completed by computer on-line from home or school by the student through the Ontario University Application Centre at this site: www.ouac.on.ca
Be sure towrite down your username and password and your OUAC number!
Important dates to remember for university:
- November: Distribution of access codes for application>
- May 27: Date by which universities must respond
- June 1: Acceptance response required, possibly with a financial commitment
Fees: recommended method is Visa/Mastercard online
$150.00 for 3 choices
$50.00 for each additional selection (no limit)
If an applicant drops a choice and replaces it with a new choice, the new choice will incur an additional selection charge. The only exception is if an applicant deactivates (“drops”) a choice and adds a new choice or reactivates the original choice at the same university.
Remember to check prerequisites at: Ontario Universities Info and read information on the admissions tab for programs to see policies on alternate offers, repeated marks etc.

COLLEGE APPLICATIONS:

You must register and create your own password. Be sure to write down your username and password and your OCAS application number!
Students will require their OEN number. (on all report cards)
Important dates to remember for college:
- October: Application site is open for applications www.ontariocolleges.ca
- February 1: Applications and payment due to OCASfor equal consideration
- February 1: earliest release of offer admission
- May 1: last day to confirm acceptance to an offer
- June 15: earliest date a college may require payment of fees
Fees: recommended method is Visa/Mastercard online
$95.00 for 5 programs (max. 3 at 1 college)
